My scarves are created in small batches of 7 to 13 at a time, using the ancient dye technique of shibori. Each is carefully folded and creased to create loose patterns, when dyed by hand with bamboo brushes. The process is a guided meditation, as I intuitively infuse the silk with high vibrational colour and blessings. Once the fabric has been set and rinsed, images inspired by the ancient Mi’kmaq petroglyphs are hand drawn, using an acrylic metallic fabric medium.
